The first time the trademark Playdagroove appeared in a club flyer was in 2004, the year in which the label begins to take shape. At that time, its creator, Jason Rivas, had been releasing his material for many years in the underground spanish scene, but Playdagroove! set a new challenge in his professional career. In 2006, Playdagroove! begins as a label, releasing a lot of material in physical formats, always in the underground scene that allows him to keep a total creative independence. In 2007, Playdagroove got in the digital market. In the meantime hybrid experiments are put on the market by the likes of New Yorks Proyecto Uno, who combined house and merengue in their LPs Todo el mundo and In Da House.
